Green Sea Floyds Trojans Varsity fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-0 loss to St. James on Saturday. St. James took the lead on a single in the first inning.

The Green Sea Floyds Trojans Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of St. James, giving up 12 runs.

In the first inning, St. James got their offense started. K Gollie drove in one when she singled.

A single by Chance Caulder in the first inning was a positive for Green Sea Floyds Trojans Varsity.

B Spiva got the start for St. James. She surrendered zero runs on eight hits over four innings, striking out two and walking zero.

Caroline Davis toed the rubber for Green Sea Floyds Trojans Varsity. She went two innings, allowing six runs on seven hits and walking one. Haley Owens threw one and one-third innings out of the bullpen.

St. James launched three home runs on the day. J Lauttenbach went yard in the third inning. Gollie had a long ball in the fourth inning. N Spiva went for the long ball in the second inning.

Green Sea Floyds Trojans Varsity had eight hits in the game. Grace Elliott, Bailey Strickland, and Abby Marlowe all had multiple hits for Green Sea Floyds Trojans Varsity. Marlowe, Strickland, and Elliott each collected two hits to lead Green Sea Floyds Trojans Varsity.

St. James totaled 11 hits. Gollie and Spiva each collected multiple hits for St. James. Gollie went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead St. James in hits. St. James didn’t commit a single error in the field. M Kraus had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
